Mr. Saliya Senanayake

Founder Chairman/Director
Mr. Saliya Senanayake is the visionary Founder Chairman of Lanka Shipping & Logistics (Pvt) Ltd and currently serves as the Group Chairman of the CASS Group of Companies — a dynamic conglomerate established in 2010. Under his leadership, the Group has grown to encompass key players in the maritime and logistics sector, including Ocean Shipping Agencies Lanka, Simatech Marine Lanka, Perma Shipping Lanka, and other affiliated companies.
With over 40 years of distinguished local and international experience, Mr. Senanayake is widely recognized as a leading authority in the fields of LINER shipping (Mainline/NVOCC), FEEDER shipping, marine services, and supply chain management. His career began with the Ceylon Shipping Corporation (CSC) — Sri Lanka’s National Shipping Line — where he held several senior positions. In the 1980s, he was posted overseas as CSC’s Regional Representative for Europe, based in London, overseeing a pioneering full container service.
From 1990 to 2005, he had a highly successful 15-year tenure in Dubai, UAE, as Regional Managing Director for leading regional and feeder carriers, including Xpress Feeders and Samudera Shipping Line. His impactful leadership and strategic foresight earned him widespread recognition within the global maritime community.
In Sri Lanka, Mr. Senanayake has held key positions, including Director at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and Managing Director/Group Director roles in several leading shipping companies. He continues to contribute actively to the industry as a Member of the Advisory Board of CASA (Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents) and the Sri Lanka Association of Vessel Operators (SLAVO).
An academic in his own right, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Ports & Shipping Administration from the University of Wales (UWIST), Cardiff, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He has served as the International Vice President of CILT and also chaired CILT Sri Lanka. In 2014, he was honored with the prestigious Pegasus Award by CILT International in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the global logistics and maritime industry.
Today, Mr. Saliya Senanayake continues to drive innovation and excellence across the CASS Group, including Ocean Shipping Agencies Lanka, with a vision to lead regional maritime services through integrity, experience, and strategic leadership.
Mrs. Charmaine Senanayake
Director – Human Resources & Administration
With a strong foundation in the medical profession, Charmaine Senanayake began her career in healthcare before transitioning into general administration, where she gained extensive experience across the UK, Dubai, and Sri Lanka. Her global exposure and diverse background have equipped her with a unique blend of empathy, structure, and leadership.
As a Shareholder and Director of the Group, Charmaine currently serves as the Director of Human Resources and Administration. Her dedication, strategic oversight, and people-first approach have been instrumental in shaping the organizational culture and driving the growth of the company.
Her tireless commitment and support to both management and staff have significantly strengthened the internal framework of the CASS Group, including Ocean Shipping Agencies Lanka, contributing to a cohesive and forward-thinking workplace environment.
Mr. Ananda Senanayake

Group Managing Director
Ana Fernando began his career in the UK investment banking sector (2007–2011), representing prestigious institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). He was subsequently relocated to Singapore by RBS, where he worked for two years before transitioning to the shipping and logistics industry in 2013.
Ana joined Lanka Shipping & Logistics / CASS Group of Companies as Executive Director and has since risen to the position of Group Managing Director. His dedication and outstanding contributions to the maritime sector earned him the prestigious Maritime Standard Young Person in Shipping Award (2019) in Dubai.
He is a Chartered Member (CMILT) of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and a Member (MICS) of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). Ana also serves on the Executive Committees of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and the Sri Lanka Association of NVOCC Agents (SLANA).
As a respected leader in the maritime and logistics industry, Ana is actively involved in various forums and entrepreneurial groups dedicated to advancing Sri Lanka’s economy and maritime sector.
